T’ai Chi Chih with S.Rebecca

Begin 2020 with a new experience!  S. Rebecca will be facilitating T’ai Chi Chih for 6 sessions at St. Simon.

T’aiChi Chih, originated by Justin Stone in 1974, is a moving meditation composed of 19 moves and one pose, which activates, balances and circulates wellness throughout our entire body, mind and spirit!  Literally, T’ai Chi Chih means,“A Direct Experience with the Divine Ultimate.”

T’aiChi Chih may be done sitting down, with the same awesome benefits of balance, flexibility, better sleep, peaceful mind, etc.!

Casual clothes, comfortable shoes, willing spirit.

Parents and guardians play a very special role in the lives of children.  Come and be nourished.  The theme this year is " Fill Up to Pour Out".  We meet most Sundays, 10am-11am in Simon Room for contemplation, content, and conversations.  Light refreshments are served.  Complimentary child care for preschoolers may be arranged.  Contact Rose Lue at 408-807-5268, roselue@gmail.com.

Women's Spirituality

Calling women of all ages to gather in support and encouragement through discussions and prayer. We meet once a month for an hour in the Convent Chapel.

This year, we've got an exciting and somewhat different plan! We will be reading and discussing the book Transitions: Making Sense of Life's Changes.
The book is a powerful dovetail to the conversation we had and movement our group made last year... As you'll recall, we spent our time discussing the necessity of both light and darkness in our lives -- they are equally inevitable and valuable. Now, we will use this incredibly insightful book as a way of looking at how we as women transition through the many changes in life (spiritual, emotional, social, physical, mental).

Young at Heart Seniors (age 55+)

Our seniors at St. Simon are better known as the Young At Heart. A vivacious, caring, fun-loving, and deeply spiritual source of wisdom in the parish community. We gather every first Tuesday of the month; except for June, July, and August. Begin in the chapel for Liturgy at 11:30 a.m., followed by a delicious $5 lunch in the Simon Room. Sometimes there is a speaker or entertainment after lunch. Feel free to come to part, or all, of the event, and bring a neighbor (need not be a parishioner to attend). Check the weekly bulletin for upcoming details.
