The vision and purpose of the St. Simon Liturgy & Spirituality Council is to help our community celebrate relevant and inspirational liturgies that deepen faith, and to offer spiritual formation for members of all ages. Here are a few areas in which the Council will be involved:
- Be the visioning body in formulating parish liturgical and spiritual opportunities.
- Evaluate the liturgical and spirituality needs of the worshiping community to help facilitate engaging and transforming participation.
- Advise, provide direction, and evaluate those who prepare liturgies and spirituality sessions.
- Assure that a variety of prayer experiences, devotions, scripture study, liturgical catechesis, spiritual direction, faith sharing, life skill presentations and retreat opportunities are provided for the community.
- Be advisory to the Pastor on all issues relating to liturgy and spirituality.
The Liturgy Board and Adult Spiritual Formation Team will still be very active and will support the Council as implimentation teams.
