Reconciliation

God the Father of mercies, through the death and resurrection of His Son has reconciled the world to Himself and has sent the Holy Spirit among us for the forgiveness of sins; through the ministry of the Church. May God give you pardon and peace and I absolve you from your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.Prayer of Absolution from the Rite of Penance

At St. Simon, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated every Saturday at 4:00 p.m. or anytime by appointment. To make an appointment please contact the rectory at 650-967-8311. Communal Reconciliation services are scheduled during Advent and Lent.

The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is celebrated with children who are baptized and who have attained the age of reason in accord with the directives of the Second Vatican Council and the norms prescribed by the Bishops of the United States. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated prior to First Eucharist. The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are celebrated in the second grade. All parents wishing their children to celebrate these Sacraments are expected to participate in the sacramental preparation of their children and to attend the parent meetings for this purpose.
