The Cash Calendar

It is our hope with the St. Simon Cash Calendar to create the largest amount of fundraising dollars with the smallest amount of effort. For the 2011-2012 school year, we are eliminating many school-sponsored fundraising efforts, including the magazine drive, cookie dough fundraiser, small ministry fundraisers, and the constant “ask.” These programs will still be available as a service to our families with online ordering available via the website, along with Scrip and eScrip. The Walk-A-Thon, Auction, and other parish social events will continue as they do today.

The Cash Calendar is a raffle, and runs under the guidelines outlined by the Diocese of San Jose and the State of California. Raffle tickets are sold at $10 per ticket in booklets of 15 tickets each. Tickets are available in the Parish and School Offices for purchase. The entire Parish is participating in the Cash Calendar, including the School, CCM, Preschool of Religion, EDGE, LifeTeen, MOPS, and other outreach groups.

We have six (6) $1,000 drawings, one (1) $2,000 drawing, and twenty-seven (27) $100 drawings per school year.  Please send your Cash Calendar Raffle Tickets and Checks to:  St. Simon Parish  Attn:  Cash Calendar 1860 Grant Road, Los Altos, CA  94024.

Paper/Gift Card Scrip

Paper scrip are gift certificates or cards that Saint Simon pre-purchases from stores at a discount. The certificates are sold to Saint Simon families at face value. The discount earned ranges between 1.5% and 26% of the face value of the gift cards and certificates, and is passed on to Saint Simon. The exact percentage is listed next to the item on the Scrip order form.

Scrip certificates can make great gifts! Sample vendors include The Gap, Jamba Juice, See's Candy, and more.

Electronic Scrip

Electronic Scrip (eScrip) is a way to donate to Saint Simon when you make a purchase from participating vendors at www.escrip.com using your credit, debit, merchant or grocery card. A percentage of the purchases made is donated to Saint Simon.
